Born & raised in Singapore, Thecla studies journalism at Biola University. She describes herself as a journalist, illustrator,  photographer, social media content creator, videographer, writer—storyteller. She is also a recipient of the Associated Collegiate Press' American Pacemaker award for her work in the Gradient Magazine & the Point Magazine.
